Huge thanks this week go to Diana Beddows and her three friends who ran the London Landmarks Half Marathon last weekend in memory of Diana’s husband, Ian Beddows.
Thanks also to Year 8 at St Peters High School Exeter have raised an incredible £1587.46 for Hospiscare with a sponsored walk on a very wet day walking from Star Cross to Exeter alongside other fundraising activities. The students were year 7s at the time and had unanimously voted to support Hospiscare with their amazing fundraising efforts. Thanks to everyone involved!
Thanks to the fantastic NCS students from Exeter who completed fundraising for us and also donated this lovely herb raised bed for our kitchen here at Searle House. They raised a fantastic £430.84.
Huge thanks to everyone who was involved in the fantastic Opera at Cadhay event, at which internationally acclaimed opera singers Anando Mukerjee and Justine Viani performed, kindly hosted by Rupert Thistlethwayte and Caroline Prior and raising over £10,000.
The event would not have been possible without our volunteers who worked so hard behind the scenes, including the event lead Ann Blake. It was a beautiful evening and we want to thank all the performers, sponsors and guests for coming to support Hospiscare.
A big thank you to some of the younger members of 'Kimbo's Army', who continue to raise money in memory of much loved friend and family member, Kim.
And a massive thank you goes to Pip Bowhay for completing her 1,000 mile solo fundraising walk from Dunnet Head in the far north of Scotland, and raising over £5,500!
Pip has been walking in memory of her husband Richard. You can read more about her story here: www.justgiving.com/fundraising/pips2018plod
