Fundraising doesn’t have to mean shaking a collection tin or sitting in a tub of cold baked beans (although if that’s what floats your boat then go for it).
We think fundraising should be, well, fun. Whether you’re more of a BBQ in shorts kind of person, or a black-tie and cocktails partygoer, the money you raise will help us to provide crucial services to people in your community. So thank you.
The first step is to download our fundraising pack. It’ll tell you everything you need to get started. There are fundraising ideas galore, along with handy tips on everything from setting up a Facebook Fundraiser to smashing your target.
Jo held a gin tasting event at home and got her local pub involved in fundraising. She also raffled off bottles of gin donated from local distilleries. In all, Jo raised £1,500 (and got to sample a few gins in the process).
Jim and Brenda invited friends over for a curry night and asked them to donate £10 each. The couple also organised a few extra fundraising activities on the night, which boosted the amount raised to £500.
Nick and Teresa’s pub quiz, silent auction and raffle raised £1,900 in just one night!
Heather decided to raise money with a head shave! She dyed her hair various colours beforehand and organised a night at her local pub so that supporters could witness the head shave.
How we can support your event
No fundraising event would be complete without a few decorations. We can send you balloons, stickers and more. We also have all those extra essentials you need, from collection tins and sponsorship forms to those all-important T-shirts, and we can even help with posters.
