Hospiscare’s Light up a Life celebration returns to Exeter Cathedral

After two years of virtual remembrance celebrations, Light up a Life will return to Exeter Cathedral this year

Hospiscare is inviting the community to come together in celebration of the lives of loved ones who are no longer with us.

After two years of online remembrance celebrations due to the pandemic, we are excited to announce that our Light up a Life celebration will return to Exeter Cathedral on Monday 19 December. Doors will open at 6:30pm with the service commencing at 6:45pm.

Members of the community will be able to come together and honour the lives of their loved ones. Dedications can also be made in the Book of Memories, which will be available to view at Exeter Cathedral, as well as local churches throughout December until twelfth night. To add a loved one’s name to the Book of Memories, call 01392 688020 or click here. Memories of loved ones can also be shared in Hospiscare’s online Gallery of Memories here.

For the first time, the local charity is also holding two carol services in East and Mid Devon. Carols at the Park will take place at Deer Park Country House in Honiton on Sunday 4 December. Tea and coffee will be provided on arrival at 3pm with the service commencing at 3:45pm. Carols at the Barn will follow on Wednesday 14 December at the Corn Barn in Cullompton. Tea and coffee will be provided on arrival at 6pm with the service commencing at 6:45pm.

There are limited spaces for the carol services, therefore guests will need to register their attendance here.

Hospiscare would like to thank Walter H Squires for their sponsorship of Light up a Life and Heaver Brothers, Clinton Devon Estates, Coastal Recycling Sherwoods and Exeter Cathedral for their support.
