Hospiscare Heroes – From sports day to walking challenges

Our Hospiscare Heroes have been flexing their superpowers to support our charity in an incredible variety of ways

Our Hospiscare Heroes are truly super; week after week, they support our local charity with their fundraising endeavours across Exeter, Mid and East Devon, ensuring we can be there for our patients and their families when they need us most.

From all of us at Hospiscare, we are sending a huge thank you to all of our Hospiscare Heroes. Read on to find out how they have been flexing their superpowers this week.

PenCarrie recently held a sports day to raise funds for our local hospice. The evening was open to staff, family and friends and included a range of activities and games, including an egg and spoon race, rocket throwing, skipping and many more throwbacks to childhood.

The team raised an incredible £3,355.70 and we are so thankful for your support!

Team Otter, from Otter Garden Centres, put their best foot forward with their annual walk for Hospiscare last weekend raising £575. Participants had the option to walk 5, 10, 15 or 20 miles in East Devon over one weekend. Lauren and Sally, who had previously completed a skydive in May, went the extra mile and walked an impressive 100 miles in a week!

We appreciate being chosen as your Charity of the Year and your continued support – thank you!

Finally, a big thank you to Planet Sal in Honiton who are celebrating their 5-year anniversary by donating 5% of all sales made between 5 – 15 July to Hospiscare. If you’re looking for gifts, jewellery, or cards, be sure to pop in to support your local end-of-life care.

Thank you to all our Hospiscare Heroes on behalf of our staff, patients, and their loved ones.

We love hearing your stories about how you are fundraising for Hospiscare so please get in touch with us on Facebook or Twitter to share your photos and fundraising tales.
