Hospiscare Heroes – From face masks to community schemes

Our Hospiscare Heroes have been busy over the last couple of weeks, finding innovative ways to fund raise for our charity at this difficult time.

Our Hospiscare Heroes are truly super; week after week, they support our charity with their fundraising endeavours across Exeter, Mid and East Devon. From all of us at Hospiscare, we are sending a huge thank you to all of our Hospiscare Heroes. Read on to find out how they have been flexing their super powers this week.

Colourful fabric face masks

We are sending our thanks to Lin from the Crediton Support Group who has been making face masks and selling them to raise money for Hospiscare. Lin is keen to keep making and selling her masks for Hospiscare and if you would like to find out more about purchasing one of these beautiful fabric masks, you can contact Lin on 01363 773315.

Hospiscare cheque presentation at Waitrose

Thank you also to Waitrose in Okehampton who have kindly supported Hospiscare with their latest Community Matters scheme. Through this they have made an amazing donation of £333 to Okehampton Friends of Hospiscare. Angela from the Okehampton Friends was delighted to go along to Waitrose and accept the cheque.

A man with stubbly hair

Finally, thank you to Neill Stevens who is growing his hair for Hospiscare! Neill works at Sainsbury’s and is well known for not having any hair. However, since July, Neill has been growing his hair to raise funds for Hospiscare as a thank you for the care we gave to his relative. Neill has raised £600 so far and intends to grow his hair and raise money for 12 months – watch this space!

We love hearing your stories about how your are fundraising for Hospiscare so please get in touch with us on Facebook or Twitter to share your photos and fundraising tales.
