Head off the beaten track, creep through the Glen and take part in Honiton’s very first Gruffalo trail! Find the Fox , Owl and Snake….then …see if you can spot a very special… V.I.G!
The Lower Glen was gifted to the people of Honiton in 1935 to celebrate the Silver Jubilee of George V – and this 6 acre public woodland is a bit of a hidden gem! There’s a winding stream, a waterfall, shrubs and trees galore – and our amazing supporter, Nathan, has kindly organised a Gruffalo Trail, which will be fun for all the family.
If you like adventure, cookies and ice-cream, this event is not to be missed. Put on your mouse mask, take part in the Gruffalo Trail and support your local hospice, Hospiscare! There will also be a raffle, with some fantastic prizes, as well as extra cookies and ice cream for sale – so please do remember to bring some cash.
Please note: Children under 16 will need to be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
Location: Enter the trail at Pine Park Road entrance to the The Glen, Honiton EX14 2HZ
Time: The trail will start promptly at 10am and be finished by 12pm
Accessibility: Unfortunately the Gruffalo trail is unsuitable for wheelchair users and pushchairs, due to steep steps.
Dogs: Dogs are permitted but must be kept on leads
Refreshments: An icecream and cookie are included in the ticket cost, but extra will be available for purchase. You’re also welcome to bring your own picnic and blanket!

- The Gruffalo Trail is not an event run by Hospiscare and Hospiscare cannot be held responsible for any injury, loss, damage or theft.
- Please ensure that children are accompanied by a responsible adult/guardian.
- Please wear suitable clothing and footwear.
- No alcohol should be consumed prior to or during the event.
- The event will be going ahead come rain or shine, but in case of unavoidable cancellation, a refund will be available from Porkies, 2 New Street, Honiton EX14 2EY, on presentation of your ticket.
