Celebrate your female friends by joining us for an elegant afternoon tea, with music from jazz trio soWhat in Exeter.
Who can come along:
Galentine’s Day celebrates female friendships! Our event is open to anyone wishing to celebrate the ‘gal’ or ‘gals’ in your life, that mean so much to you
The Sparkling Afternoon Tea:
Please make sure you arrive hungry as we will be providing each guest with:
• A glass or sparkling wine, elderflower and/or tea.
• 4 delicious sandwich quarters.
• A scone, clotted cream and homemade jam.
• A selection of cakes, including our ever-popular lemon drizzle cake and chocolate brownie.
The afternoon tea will be served on vintage tea sets, 3-tier cake stands, tablecloths and colourful cloth napkins.
All the food will be prepared by our team of lovely ladies who have had years of experience of creating yummy homemade cakes and delicious sandwiches.
We can accommodate most dietary requirements if highlighted in the booking form. Unfortunately, if someone has a serious allergy we will not be able to meet their requirements, as food is prepared in a non-industrial kitchen which will not be allergy free i.e. nuts and wheat will be used in our kitchens, so we cannot guarantee against cross contamination.
Entertainment:
For part of the time, Devon-based jazz trio, soWhat, will be entertaining us with uplifting and melodic music.
Venue:
The Coaver Club is a warm, spacious and clean building, that provides a welcoming atmosphere for our event and wheelchair access. The use of the Coaver Club has kindly been gifted to the Exeter Friends of Hospiscare.
Directions and Parking
The Coaver Club is at County Hall, on Topsham Road. There is free parking on site. The Stagecoach buses that stop nearest the venue are the R and S buses. There is free parking on site, disabled parking outside the building.

Costs and Bookings:
The cost is £25 per person. To book your place, please complete the Booking Form at the bottom of this webpage. If you are booking for guests, please provide their names, contact details and any dietary requirements.
Raffle:
On the day we will be holding a raffle that cost £1 for a strip of tickets or £5 for 6 strips of tickets. We can accept cash or card on the day and will draw the winning tickets by 4.15 so everyone will be there to collect a prize if they win.

Cancellation Policy:
If you notify us that you cannot attend the event, at least 10 days in advance of the event, we can offer you a refund. If it is less than 10 days’ notice, unfortunately we cannot offer you a refund. Instead, you can send someone else in your place, if you can give us their name, contact details and any dietary requirements. Or if you live in the Exeter or surrounding area, we may be able to drop your sparkling afternoon tea to your door.
