Hospiscare Trustee Greg’s experience includes the commercial (plc), public and third sectors as a chief executive, director and non-executive director. He has spent 15 years on Boards in health and care.
Greg has worked across the UK in most areas of the NHS and was a director of NHS Devon for five years, during which time he was Devon Prisons’ Healthcare Commissioner and a governor of Devon NHS Partnership Trust. He was also a senior civil servant at the Department of Health & Social Care, Chief Executive of the National Centre for Workforce Intelligence and a national director of Nuffield Health.
Alongside governance and financial experience, his professional background is in organisational transformation and human resource management. He is currently Chief Executive of Future Care Capital, a 70 year old national health and care charity, where HM the Queen is Royal Patron. Greg is also a trustee of the national charity Arthritis Action.
In his early career, Greg’s roles included Army Officer and Private Banker at Coutts & Co. He is a qualified teacher, Fellow of the RSA (FRSA) and Fellow of the CIPD (FCIPD).
Greg has lived in East Devon since 2005. Outside of work, his passions are family (he has three teenage children), cycling, and the great outdoors.
