Glynis has been Chief Executive of Hospiscare since 2006. She is responsible for running the charity in partnership with her colleagues in the senior management team and with the support of the Board of Trustees.
Glynis began her career in the voluntary sector after graduating from Swansea University with a degree in politics. Her first job was with a housing association in London, followed by a spell running a national coalition of community organisations from home while her children were young.
Following a move to Northamptonshire she worked for Victim Support as County Director and then joined a national charity, the Motor Neurone Disease Association, as a senior manager, completing a MBA with the Open University and later professional qualifications with the Institute of Directors. She was awarded an Honorary Doctorate of Laws by Exeter University in January 2015.
