Annette joined Hospiscare in June 2016, in the role of Director of Workforce Development, bringing together HR, Learning and Development, and Volunteering Management into one team responsible for the support and development of everyone who works for us, whether paid or on a voluntary basis.
After graduating in 1987, Annette spent most of her career in the NHS, working in general management and then in Leadership Development and HR, and more recently worked in Probation services leading HR and Learning and Development. She has a Master’s degree in Human Resource Development from Sheffield Hallam University and her first degree is in French and Art. Having a particular interest in people development, Annette also has qualifications in personality psychometrics, coaching and leadership.
A Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development, Annette also carries out various voluntary work; as a CIPD Steps Ahead Mentor, as a facilitator of on line professional development discussions and until recently she held the position of Chair of Trustees of Bristol based charity ARA. Annette is married to an engineer, has two grown up children, a dog and a cat and lives by the coast in Somerset.
