Hospiscare Heroes - From Coffee Mornings to Chocolate Challenges!


Here at Hospiscare, we are extremely grateful to all of our supporters and we love to see the innovative ways that our Hospiscare Heroes find to fundraise for us! Read on for the latest updates on how our Hospiscare Heroes have been supporting our charity across Exeter, Mid and East Devon.


Tiverton Golf Club cheque presentation to Hospiscare


Hospiscare was chosen as Charity of the Year by Maureen Postles, the ladies captain of Tiverton Golf Club for 2019. During the year, the ladies have held various fundraising events, including raffling off Maureen's car parking space, and have raised a staggering £6,025. Tiverton Golf Club have been really supportive of Hospiscare and it has been great to work with Maureen and the ladies in 2019.


Sould Traders cheque presentation to Hospiscare


Thank you also to Soul Traders who held a Christmas party for Hospiscare in December 2019. The figures have been added up and they raised an amazing £4,374.82!


Maya's chocolate challenge for Hospiscare


A huge thank you to one of our younger supporters - 15 year-old Anya Shapland. Anya gave herself a chocolate challenge and resisted chocolate for the whole of December - even Christmas Day! Anya raised a fantastic £80 from her challenge.


Darts Farm cheque presentation to Hospiscare


A huge thanks to Darts Farm who have supported Hospiscare throughout 2019 and raised an incredible £9216.96 for our patients. During 2019, Darts Farm supported us with their sunflower sales, Easter Egg raffle and Santa's Grotto. Thank you also to Topsham Friends of Hospiscare who have worked tirelessly with the staff at Darts Farm to make each of these events a success. 


Coffee morning for Hospiscare


Thank you to Ruth Penberthy who held a coffee morning in aid of Hospiscare in March and raised an amazing £585.27. Ruth held the coffee morning in memory of her mum and chose their local church as the location as her mum had been a member since 1970.

Finally, thank you to Kirsty Trude who also held a coffee morning in March. Kirsty raised an amazing £517.50 - thank you to Kirsty and the local community in Aylesbeare.
