Hospiscare Heroes - From Steam Ups to Half Marathons

Here at Hospiscare, we are extremely grateful to all of our supporters and we love to see the innovative ways that our Hospiscare Heroes find to fundraise for us! Read on for the latest updates on how our Hospiscare Heroes have been supporting our charity across Exeter, Mid and East Devon.

Hospiscare coffee morning

Thank you to Jane Nicholls from Ottery who held her very first coffee morning for Hospiscare and raised £120!

Hospiscare nurses with thank you signs

A  huge thank you to Alistar Parsons and Adam and Kirsty McKay who held a 'steam up' as part of a ploughing event at Kingsdown Farm. The owner of the farm agreed to the end of season 'steam up' with local and full-size steam engines.

Light refreshments were served throughout the event and on the Saturday evening there was a BBQ and bar for donations only. There was also a prize draw on both days. The 'steam up' raised a fantastic £657.30.

Finally, thank you to Amy who ran the Cardiff Half Marathon for Hospiscare. A family friend was cared for by Hospiscare so Amy was keen to support our charity. Amy's efforts have raised £150 so far - well done Amy!

We love seeing all that you do for Hospiscare, so if you are planning any fundraising, please send us a direct message us on Facebook or email so that we can celebrate your efforts. We couldn't do what we do without you.
