Hospiscare Heroes - from candy canes to cream teas!

Here at Hospiscare, we're extremely grateful to all our supporters. Read on to see what some of our Hospiscare Heroes from across Exeter, Mid and East Devon have been doing to support the charity!

Coffee Morning in Copplestone

Huge thanks to Olivia and her family who held a 'Big Coffee Morning' in April and raised an amazing £550.08 for Hospiscare.  They had over 60 raffle prizes and 16 silent auction prizes, and it was a great success!

Cheque presentation at the Golf Day

Thanks also to the 50 teams who took part in the 15th Marnie Burgoyne Memorial Golf Day at Exeter Golf & Country Club. They helped raise a fantastic £16,717 for Hospiscare.

The day is organised by a committee of volunteers and is held each year in memory of Marnie Burgoyne, who was part of the founding team that helped raise the money to build the hospice building, Searle House, which opened in 1992. Since the golf day began in 2005 more than £200,000 has been raised for the charity.

Exminster Methodist Church present a cheque to Hospiscare

A big thank you to Exminster Methodist Church who held an afternoon tea in aid of Hospiscare. They raised a total of £535, which will go towards helping people in Devon receive the best possible care.

Colyton Grammar pupils at Searle House

Thank you to the pupils of Colyton Grammar School who raised funds for Hospiscare by doing all sorts of activities, including selling candy canes at Christmas. The students came in to present a cheque for £200 and kindly played some music for our patients on the ward.

And finally, a massive thank you to the Pidsley family, who held a charity auction, raffle, hog roast and cream teas. They had around 250 people attend the event, and raised an amazing total of £6,625.69 for Hospiscare!
