Hospiscare Heroes - Hummingbirds, Talks and Gardens

A huge thank you to Patrick Morris and Huw Cordey for their fantastic Life behind a Lens event at the Deerpark Hotel. This sell-out event was a rare opportunity to find out what it’s like to make natural history documentaries like Planet Earth, South Pacific, Galapagos and Enchanted Kingdom.

Life Behind a Lens Talk

A huge thank you to Hummingbirds Acapella Trio for holding a concert in aid of Hospiscare. With beautiful vocals, captivating performance and lots of cake in the interval, the evening was a real treat and raised £149.90. Thanks to Didge Dowley for the photo.

Hummingbirds

Thanks to our lovely gardeners at Breach Kilmington who opened their 3 acre garden for us on Sunday 14th May, where visitors enjoyed strolling around the garden and relaxing with tea and cake in the beautiful surroundings.  The open afternoon raised an amazing £715.84 for Hospiscare.  Huge thank you to the gardeners, their friends and neighbours and the Axminster Support Group, who went along to help on the day.

Thanks also to Margaret and Bert at Penrose House Crediton who opened their newly created town garden, sold home grown beans, tomatoes, container and basket plants and served lovely teas for their visitors. They raised £407, all of which is hugely appreciated!

We love seeing all that you do for Hospiscare so, if you are planning on doing any fundraising, please direct message us on Facebook or email fundraising@hospiscare.co.uk so that we can recognise your efforts. We couldn’t do what we do without you.
