It’s back! Men’s Walk returns in 2017

Calling All Men! Have A Walk, Watch Some Rugby, Eat And Help Raise Cash Too

It’s back! Hospiscare’s Men’s Walk is returning on Saturday 11th March 2017!

The sponsored walk will cover an eight-mile route starting at Exeter`s Double Locks Pub, proceeding along the Exe Valley Way canal path to the Turf Locks before going back to the Double Locks.

Once you have finished, you will be welcomed back to the Double Locks with a free pint and a hot pasty. You will then be free to enjoy the England v Scotland Six Nations match on a large screen within the exclusive enlarged Hospiscare bar.

Wilkinson Grant estate agents are once again the main event sponsor. The Double Locks will be providing the venue free of charge. St Austell Brewery are also generously donating the free pint of beer for every walker. Last year saw 507 men raise £39,000 of essential funds to support Hospiscare.

Pictured are the lads and dads from the Under 16`s Exeter Saracens Rugby Club, who are very much looking forward to taking part in the walk for the third consecutive year.

Hospiscare event fundraiser, Sharon Ewart said:” The Men’s Walk is always a special day with a great atmosphere of comradery between friends, family, work colleagues and clubs who all unite, recognising the difference that they are making through the sponsorship money raised to our hugely valued local charity”.
