“Everyone was buzzing! Everyone was so excited and it was such a well organised event. It was fantastic,” said Vanessa Fyles-Legg who along with her daughter Mary, 18, will again be joining hundreds of women in the sponsored walk on Saturday 9 July, starting from The Maer, Exmouth.
“It’s a great way for mums and daughters to spend time together,” said Vanessa. “We came down in the morning and made a day of it, we had a lovely look around the town, watched the band in the public gardens and then made our way to the Maer. It was made so easy to register and know where to go. Everybody was so welcoming which is always nice and makes the event go better.”
This year Vanessa, who lives in Cullompton, will also be joined by her colleagues from Exeter International Airport parking and shuttle bus team. She wanted to support Hospiscare after hearing from friends about the great care their loves ones had received during their illness and the “brilliant” bereavement support.
The Twilight Walk is kindly being sponsored for a second year by Western Power Distribution. Join us for a 5 or 10 mile glitter and sparkle themed sponsored walk along Exmouth seafront with entertainment around the route, starting from The Maer. Your sponsorship money helps Hospiscare make a difference to the lives of local people living with a terminal illness.
Sign up before 10 April for the early bird offer of £12 per person. Open to all women aged 12 or over. For details go to: www.twilightwalk.org.uk or call 01392 688020.
