Plymtree Open Gardens

Come and visit two beautiful gardens, all in aid of Hospiscare

Stretch your legs in the sun (hopefully!) and enjoy some lovely refreshments, all in aid of Hospiscare.

Penny Farthings 

A pair of mature gardens entered via a gravel drive, bordered by mature trees, ok, red maple and ash, with lawns in the centre.  Colourful herbaceous borders flow from front to back, interspersed by annuals.  Multiple seating arrangements available,  with a stunning summer house poised at the top of a sleeper ha-ha, leading to undisturbed countryside views, looking towards the Black Down Hills and Tiverton.

The Old Rectory

1 acre sheltered, sloping, south facing country garden with gravelled drive and terrace.  Formal pond, garden bordered by mature trees and hedges.  Colourful herbaceous borders, established rhododendron, hydrangea and shrub beds.  Large lawn, with Croquet, newly created small stumpery and fernery areas, with wildlife pond, kitchen garden, small orchard and chicken run.  Multiple seating areas providing varying garden views, some shaded.  There will also be a plant stall!
