South Wood Farm

Country garden, designed by Arne Maynard, exemplifying how contemporary design can be integrated into a traditional setting.

A 5 acre garden set around the farmhouse, with rich displays of perennials, wildflower meadows, orchards and a vegetable garden to explore.

Admission fee: £5 or £12 jointly with Prospect House and Little Ash Garden
Location: South Wood Farm, Cotleigh, Honiton, EX14 9HU
Dates: Saturday 3 & Sunday 4  July 2021, 1-5pm
Refreshments: Tea, coffee & cake available
Wheelchair Access: No direct wheelchair access to some areas but access on grass around most (some slopes and stepped areas)
Dogs: Dogs are permitted on leads
Toilets: Yes
Parking: On the property on grass a stones throw from garden


Prospect House

Hidden behind high stone walls lies a one-acre garden with views over the Axe Valley. Trees, shrubs, grasses and many unusual and tender perennials plus a collection of over 200 salvias. A local jazz band will also be playing on Saturday 3 July!

Little Ash Farm

A relaxed country garden of 1½ acres, packed with different and unusual herbaceous perennials, trees, shrubs and bamboos. Designed for year-round interest, wildlife and owners’ pleasure. Colour coordinated mixed borders interspersed with metal sculptures provide a backdrop to the view. Natural stream, damp woodland area, pond, mini wildlife meadows, hardy exotics and gravel/alpine garden. Well stocked plant stall.
