However, if you want to be sure not to miss out on making a wreath, check out the Academy of Floral Arts' other Christmas Wreath Making Workshops in December 2019

The Wreath:
Using traditional methods, you will design and assemble an elegant, fragrant Christmas wreath, with a moss ring (foam free), natural seasonal decorations, including cinnamon and fresh greenery, to make your front door the most festive on the street!

Additional festive decorations will also be for sale on the day, or you may wish to bring along your own special finishing touches for your wreath.

Workshop Instructors:
Tina Parkes, the Principal of Academy of Floral Art, will be leading the workshops. Tina is very experienced, highly qualified and award-winning Florist and Floristry Tutor. The only English Florist to hold a Dutch Masters, an American Masters (AIFD) & British Masters (Level 5). Tina has even achieved an RHS Chelsea Gold medal at this year's RHSD Chelsea Flower Show! Tina has squeezed us into her busy diary, in-between decorating No.10 Downing Street and Kent Castle, to generously volunteer her time and expertise to run these sessions in aid of Hospiscare.

After the workshop you will be served tea, coffee or hot chocolate. A festive shot of Baileys or rum can be added to your drink for a small donation. There will be a selection of homemade cakes, including mince pies, supplied courtesy of Shauls Bakery.

St David’s Church is a beautiful, warm Victorian building, that provides a magical atmosphere for our Christmas event. We will be at the back of the Church for the workshop, surrounded by twinkly fairy lights, candles, festive music and the smells of Christmas.

Time: The AM session will start at 10:00am. The PM session begins at 2:00pm

What You Need To Bring:
We recommend you wear clothing that you don’t mind getting messy or bring along an apron. We will supply all the resources needed to make the perfect Christmas wreath, but if you have a special decoration you wish to add to your wreath you are welcome to bring it along. You will also need to bring a box to carry your wreath home in. If not, we will provide you with a black bin liner.

There will also be the opportunity to enter a raffle, so you may want to bring some cash with you.
