Raising money for a specific charity throughout the year is a popular choice for many businesses, and we are always happy to suggest creative fundraising ideas and different ways in which staff can support us. Choosing Hospiscare as your Charity of the Year can also boost staff engagement and your local reputation through our digital and offline publicity, as well as helping your Corporate Social Responsibility aims.
Thrifty have been supporting Hospiscare since 2011 and donate £1 from each rental contract booked by their customers via their website. Their staff also hold regular dress-down days in the office and take part in some of our fundraising events. So far the business has donated an amazing £200,000 to Hospiscare!
The Exeter office of Trowers & Hamlins have supported Hospiscare since 2016. Their staff regularly hold fundraising events in the office and three of their team have run the London Marathon for us! In addition, they kindly support our Will Fortnight by donating their time so that our supporters can make or update their their Will in return for a suitable donation to Hospiscare.
Otter Garden Centre Ottery St Mary are delighted to be supporting Hospiscare as their ‘Charity of the Year 2019’. The team have a number of events planned including staff quiz and bingo nights, plus a memory tree at Christmas in the garden centre.
This Crediton-based company raise money for Hospiscare in a number of different ways, including staff baking days and donating money from the Crediton Crunch running event, which they organise each year in conjunction with the Crediton Running Network. They also hold a staff auction each December which raises lots of money and is great fun!
Nick and his team at this family-run business on Marsh Barton are donating money to us for each door and window they sell during the year. They also take part in our Men’s Walk and golf day and proudly display the Hospiscare logo on their shirts to show their fantastic support of our charity.
The team at Sarah West Recruitment have chosen Hospiscare as their first ever office charity of the year, and have raised money in a number of ways. Sarah also undertook a gruelling Lands End to John O'Groats cycle challenge which raised a truly fantastic £7,000 for Hospiscare - we are very grateful for all their support!
