Raising money for a specific charity throughout the year is a popular choice for many businesses, and we are always happy to suggest creative fundraising ideas and different ways in which staff can support us. Choosing Hospiscare as your Charity of the Year can also boost staff engagement and your local reputation through our digital and offline publicity, as well as helping your Corporate Social Responsibility aims.
Thrifty have been supporting Hospiscare since 2011 and donate £1 from each rental contract booked by their customers via their website. Their staff also hold regular dress-down days in the office and take part in some of our fundraising events. So far they have raised over £100,000 for Hospiscare!
The Exeter office of Trowers & Hamlin raised over £3,500 for Hospiscare during 2016, by taking part in our Neon Night Run and Breakfast Run events, holding cake sales and a large Christmas raffle. They also donate their time during our Will Fortnight to allow Hospiscare supporters to make or update their their Will free of charge, in return for a suitable donation to Hospiscare.
The Exeter office have chosen Hospiscare as their Charity of the Year for 2017 and are aiming to raise money in a wide range of ways.
The Crediton-based company have already started to raise money for Hospiscare by holding a staff baking event. They are also donating money from the Crediton Crunch, a 10k run that they organise each year with the Crediton Running Network.
Nick and his team at their family-run business on Marsh Barton are donating money to us for each door and window they sell during the year. They have also entered teams in our Men’s Walk and our golf day, and proudly display the Hospiscare logo on their shirts to show their support of our charity.
Teresa and her store colleagues at The Edinburgh Woollen Mill are aiming to hold one fundraising event per month for Hospiscare during 2017. They started in January by getting sponsored to lose weight after the Christmas period.
