Raising money for a specific charity throughout the year is a popular choice for many businesses, and we are always happy to suggest creative fundraising ideas and different ways in which staff can support us. Choosing Hospiscare as your Charity of the Year can also boost staff engagement and your local reputation through our digital and offline publicity, as well as helping your Corporate Social Responsibility aims.
Thrifty have been supporting Hospiscare since 2011 and donate £1 from each rental contract booked by their customers via their website. Their staff also hold regular dress-down days in the office and take part in some of our fundraising events. So far they have raised over £100,000 for Hospiscare!
The Exeter office of Trowers & Hamlins raised over £3,500 for Hospiscare during 2017 and are supporting us again this year. As well as donating their time during our Will Fortnight to allow Hospiscare supporters to make or update their their Will in return for a suitable donation, three of their team ran the London Marathon in April to raise money for Hospiscare!
Their head office at Sowton have chosen to support Hospiscare as their Charity of the Year for 2018 and already have a large number of events planned, including a giant coffee morning and a year-end ball. Sounds interesting!
The Crediton-based company are raising money through staff baking days and various other food-related activities, and they are also donating money from the Crediton Crunch run, which they organise each year in conjunction with the Crediton Running Network.
Nick and his team at their family-run business on Marsh Barton are donating money to us for each door and window they sell during the year. They have also entered teams in our Men’s Walk and our golf day, and proudly display the Hospiscare logo on their shirts to show their fantastic support of our charity.
The team at Sarah West Recruitment have chosen Hospiscare as their first office charity of the year, and have already planned to hold a number of events to raise money for us during 2018. Sarah is taking part in the Dartmoor Classic cycle ride and they will be entering teams in our ladies Twilight Walk. Sounds like they will be very busy!
