How do I make donations to a tribute fund?
Donations to a tribute fund can be made online via one off or regular donations. Family, friends and colleagues can also donate to the page and fundraise in memory of your loved one.
You may choose to raise money through an event or personal challenge, make a gift on special anniversaries or hold a special collection or memorial.
Donations can also be made to the fund off line too, directly to Hospiscare, just tell us when you make your donation and we will do the rest.
How does the online fund work?
Once you have set up your online tribute fund you will be able to log into the website and see how the fund is progressing. You will also receive email updates from the site when someone donates on to your loved ones tribute page.
Each donation made to the online fund is transferred to Hopsiscare swiftly, so that we are able to utilise those funds for helping local patients and their families. The gift aid is also processed efficiently, ensuring every donation is maximised.
Do I have to set up the fund online?
No, Hospiscare can set up a Tribute fund in memory of your loved one that donations can be made into by you and others. However, this fund will not be online and will be processed manually; meaning donations into the fund will need to be processed individually. This does take more administration to process.
An online tribute fund will make it easier for family and friends all over the world to contribute to the fund.
What if I have made donations to Hospiscare in the past, can I add them in to the fund?
We can easily transfer any donations you made in the past into the fund for you. All donations in the future can be added to the fund.
Online you can adjust the “offline” total on your page to show what has been donated previously or offline.
Can I set up a tribute fund online or offline in memory of someone who wasn’t cared for by Hospiscare?
Yes you can. We would like to give everyone the opportunity to pay tribute to someone special.
How long will the tribute fund last?
Yes, the fund will be there for as long as you wish.
