What to expect from complementary therapy
Before you have your treatment your therapist will ask you a few questions and will explain what you can expect from the therapy. If you think it is not for you, then please do not hesitate to say so.
After the session
After you have had your treatment you may feel a little sleepy and hopefully very relaxed. It is a good idea to follow these suggestions:
- Avoid having a heavy meal for a few hours.
- Avoid tea, coffee and alcohol for a few hours - drink water instead.
- Take things easy, you may feel tired and sleepy, relax for a while if you are able to do so.
Sometimes after treatment, people feel the need to go to the toilet more often. If this happens don't worry; it is a normal reaction and will settle over the following 12 hours.
If essential oils have been used it is a good idea not to have a bath or shower until the next day.
Please feel free to ask questions at any time during your treatment.
