Caring touch

At Hospiscare we use complementary therapies to help relieve stress and tension, to aid relaxation and to promote a sense of wellbeing.

Hospiscare offers this service to patients and carers at home, as well as in day centres and the in-patient unit.

Symptom relief

Complementary therapies can help to relieve muscular aches and pain, constipation and swollen hands or feet.

We also provide aromatherapy blends which can help with symptoms such as nausea or itching. These therapies are used alongside medical treatment for patients and to support relatives or carers.

Help yourself

Our therapists teach simple massage and relaxation techniques to patients and carers so they can treat themselves.

Which therapies are available?

Aromatherapy, massage, reflexology and indian head massage are available. All the therapists are qualified and experienced in the therapy they provide.

Could you be a Hospiscare therapist?

The majority of our therapists are qualified volunteers, who use their skill to help our patients and their families. More about volunteering for Hospiscare.
