Staff plough efforts into charity
Vapormatic have been ploughing their efforts into raising money for Hospiscare.
Hard working staff at an Exeter-based,multi-national tractor parts firm have been ploughing their efforts into raising money for Hospiscare.
The team at Vapormatic organised a range of activities including a dinner dance, payroll donations and ‘Donate Don’t Dump Days’ during which employees are encouraged to bring in items that can be sold in the charity’s shops.
A total of £5,739.51 has been handed over to Hospiscare, which cares for patients with life-limiting illnesses.
Suzanne Rushforth, the charity’s Corporate Fundraiser said: “The efforts of workers like those at Vapormatic provide crucial funds for Hospiscare.
“We are extremely grateful to the team for adopting us during 2011and 2012 and very much appreciate their generous donation.
“This was a great partnership between a local firm and a local charity for the benefit of local people.”
Peter Brennan, Vapormatic’s managing director, said: “We really enjoyed the first year of working with Hospiscare, and understanding the great work they do in the community. We look forward to supporting them again this year.”
