Local charity Hospiscare is launching its first men-only fundraiser with the perfect combination of pint, pasty and sport!
The fun, family event – ideal for grandads, dads and sons – is backed by the Exeter Chiefs and will be held at their home Sandy Park on Saturday 17th March.
Supporters are invited to join a circular 10k sponsored walk, followed by a well-earned pasty and pint as they enjoy the England v Ireland Six Nations rugby match on the big screen.
“We have two, very popular Midnight Walks for women each year but we felt it was the boys’ turn,” explained Hospiscare’s events manager Louise Beeken. “The team is putting in a lot of effort to ensure that this is a really fun event and we are delighted to have Sandy Park as our venue. We are hoping it will be appeal across the generations and anyone from the age of 12 can take part. To have the backing from the Chiefs is just brilliant.”

All money raised from the new event will be used to support patients and their families across Exeter, mid and east Devon.
The walk is the first key fundraiser for local charity Hospiscare in its special 30th anniversary year.
