Endurance challenge for Hospiscare
2,000 miles to say "thank you for helping my grandfather"
Intrepid fundraiser Ross Lovell is in training for an astonishing two-thousand mile endurance challenge to thank local charity Hospiscare for helping his grandfather.
Ross from Exeter will visit seven countries in 14 days with fellow fundraiser Chris Grundberg from Tiverton in what the pair are calling the Accelerace Challenge. From August 12th to 26th they will run, bike and kayak a total of 2,000 miles including :
- Kayaking 150 miles ( Lake Geneva) · Mountain biking 450 miles across Switzerland · Running the GR20 – 115 miles - along the mountainous spine of Corsica
Ross and Chris are currently undertaking an intensive training programme in Britain and Europe to prepare for their adventure. The money they raise will be shared by Hospiscare - the local charity who have been caring for Ross’ grandfather – and the prostate cancer charity.
The friends are appealing for sponsorship and hope sports enthusiasts will follow both their training and the challenge. More details are available at www.justgiving.com/acceleracechallenge-exeter and
